What is Kwame Nkrumah most famous for?
I am most renowned for leading Ghana to independence from British colonial rule, becoming its first Prime Minister and later President. My life's work has been dedicated to the liberation of Africa. As I articulated in my autobiography, 'Ghana: The Autobiography of Kwame Nkrumah,' the struggle for political freedom was paramount. This independence, however, was never an end in itself; it was merely the first step towards the greater objective of African unity, as I passionately argued in 'Africa Must Unite!' The fight against imperialism and its insidious manifestations has been the central theme of my public life and intellectual pursuits.
