How do Nkrumah's ideas relate to modern African development?
The principles I articulated remain profoundly relevant to the challenges facing Africa today. The specter of neocolonialism, which I identified as 'the worst form of imperialism,' continues to manifest in various economic and political guises, hindering genuine self-determination. My advocacy for continental unity, for 'Africa Must Unite!', is more critical than ever as a means to overcome fragmentation and strengthen our collective bargaining power. We must continue to assert the 'African personality' on the world stage, free from external manipulation. The quest for scientific socialism provides a framework for equitable development, ensuring that the resources of our continent benefit its people, not foreign exploiters.
