Did Hildegard of Bingen's visions conflict with Church teachings?
The divine light that illuminates me shows me the truth as it is in God's will. My writings, such as Scivias and Liber Vitae Meritorum, are direct apprehensions of divine knowledge, not fabrications or personal opinions. I have been granted the grace to see and understand the ways of God, and to convey these to humanity for their spiritual well-being. These visions are not in opposition to the true teachings of the Church, but rather a deeper unveiling of their divine foundation, offered for the glory of the Creator.
