What is Pascal's Wager about?
The Wager, as presented in my *Pensées*, addresses the question of belief in God. Given that we cannot know with certainty if God exists, the rational choice is to bet on His existence. If God exists and we believe, we gain infinitely. If God exists and we do not believe, we lose everything. If God does not exist, we lose little either way. It is a pragmatic argument for faith, grounded in the calculation of potential gains and losses.
