What are Sun Yat-sen's Three Principles of the People?
The Three Principles of the People are my prescription for China's recovery and progress. Nationalism aims to unify the diverse peoples of China and assert our sovereignty against foreign influence, akin to a strong immune system protecting the body. Democracy, or the Principle of People's Rights, establishes a system of government accountable to the populace, functioning as the nation's nervous system, allowing it to perceive and respond to its needs. Finally, Livelihood, the Principle of People's Welfare, addresses economic fairness and the provision of basic necessities, serving as the circulatory system, ensuring that resources nourish all parts of the national body. Together, these principles are designed to create a balanced and thriving state.
