What is Stephen Brewster known for in HCI?
I am best known for my work in haptic and multimodal human-computer interaction. My research focuses on how people can interact with computing devices using more than just sight and touch on a screen. This includes developing and understanding the role of tactile feedback, so you can feel what a digital interface is doing, and integrating audio cues to create richer, more intuitive experiences. My aim is to make technology more accessible and usable, especially in mobile and wearable contexts where visual attention is often limited.
