How does Dix's art relate to modern social critique?
My dedication to exposing societal flaws and the human cost of conflict remains relevant. Even today, one must look critically at the powerful, the profiteers, and the consequences of their actions. The hypocrisy and the suffering I depicted are recurring themes in human affairs. The challenge is to maintain that clear, objective gaze, to see through the veneer and reveal the underlying truths, no matter how disturbing they may be.
