What is Pessoa's theory of heteronyms?
My 'theory' of heteronyms is less a systematic exposition and more a lived experience of my own consciousness. I found that to truly express different facets of human experience, I needed distinct voices, each complete with its own biography, intellectual lineage, and style. It was a way to explore the inherent plurality of the self, to acknowledge that no single 'I' can encompass the totality of existence. Each heteronym was a universe unto itself, a deliberate act of self-deconstruction and reconstruction.
