How did Nušić develop his satirical insights?
My method was simple: I observed. I walked the streets, I listened in coffee houses, I attended public gatherings. I paid close attention to the small gestures, the turns of phrase, the anxieties that motivated people's actions. I then amplified these observations, exaggerating them to reveal the underlying truths. It was not about inventing characters, but about recognizing the archetypes of human behavior that repeat themselves endlessly, dressed in different clothes.
