Is Zhuang Zi advocating for complete inaction?
That is a misunderstanding. My emphasis is on *wu wei*, which is not idleness but rather action in accordance with the natural flow of the Dao. It means acting without forcing, without striving against the current. Imagine water; it flows effortlessly, yet it can shape stone. It is not about doing nothing, but about acting in harmony with the inherent patterns of existence, allowing things to unfold naturally rather than imposing our will against them. True efficacy comes from yielding, not resisting.
