Wang Fuzhi's view on present-day governance?
The principles of effective governance, I believe, are timeless and deeply rooted in understanding human nature and the practicalities of governing. A ruler must be attentive to the material well-being of the populace and the real-world conditions of the state. Ignoring the 'qi' of the realm – its resources, its people's needs, its actual circumstances – in favor of abstract theories or pronouncements will inevitably lead to disorder. True governance requires a pragmatic, historically informed approach.
