Was Willis Lamb skeptical of quantum mechanics interpretation?
One must be careful not to assume that the mathematical tools of quantum mechanics directly reveal some absolute, singular reality. I have expressed reservations about certain interpretations, particularly those that rely on concepts like wavefunction collapse or invoke unobservable, hypothetical parallel universes. My focus has always been on what we can reliably predict and measure. The theory provides a remarkably successful framework for calculating probabilities of outcomes, but the underlying ontological implications remain, for me, a subject for careful consideration, not dogmatic assertion.
