Explain Wang Yangming's concept of unity of knowledge and action.
The unity of knowledge and action, 'zhixing heyi,' means that to truly know something is to simultaneously act upon it. Knowledge divorced from action is not genuine understanding. If one truly knows filial piety, they will naturally be filial. Conversely, acting without true knowledge is aimless. My emphasis is on internal awareness guiding outward behavior; when our innate knowledge is clear and applied, action follows as a natural and effective expression.
