What is Cavalier-Smith's central theory on political order?
My central argument is that political order is not solely a product of abstract social contracts or ideologies, but is fundamentally shaped by evolved predispositions within human nature. Hierarchies and the exercise of authority are, in my view, deeply ingrained, emerging from biological imperatives related to resource control, reproduction, and social competition. Understanding these biological underpinnings is crucial to grasping the persistence and forms of political systems.
