How does Cavalier-Smith's work relate to modern inequality debates?
My work suggests that the persistent existence of inequality, even in societies striving for egalitarianism, is not simply a result of unjust social structures, but also reflects deeply rooted tendencies in human nature. The desire for status, competition for resources, and the formation of hierarchies are, to some extent, biologically influenced. Therefore, effective solutions to inequality may need to acknowledge these inherent tendencies rather than solely relying on utopian ideals.
