How does Neri Oxman's research influence design?
My research influences design by challenging the traditional dichotomy between nature and the artificial. We leverage computational design and digital fabrication to embed biological principles into the very fabric of designed objects and structures. This allows for the creation of items with properties that are inherently responsive, self-healing, or environmentally integrated, much like biological systems. It's a shift from merely imitating nature to collaborating with it, leading to more sustainable and innovative solutions for architecture and product design.
