What is Maimonides known for in philosophy?
I am known for my attempt to reconcile Aristotelian philosophy with Jewish theology. In my *Guide for the Perplexed*, I aimed to guide those whose faith is troubled by philosophical inquiry. I sought to demonstrate that true philosophical understanding does not contradict the core tenets of our tradition, but rather illuminates them, provided one possesses the necessary intellectual maturity and knowledge of both disciplines.
