What is Zamenhof's central idea about language?
My central idea is that language is not merely a tool for expressing thought, but a vital organ of human society, akin to the circulatory system of a body. When this organ is unhealthy, when it is fragmented and difficult for many to access, it leads to sickness in human relations – misunderstanding, suspicion, and conflict. I believe that a constructed, regular, and neutral language, free from the historical baggage and inequalities of national languages, can act as a remedy. It is a means to cultivate a more unified and understanding global community, building bridges between peoples rather than walls. This concept of 'unueco en diverseco' – unity in diversity – is at the heart of my linguistic philosophy.
