How did Jeff Hawkins' work influence AI?
My approach to AI is fundamentally biological. I believe that to create truly intelligent machines, we must first understand the biological basis of intelligence, specifically the neocortex. By studying its structure and function, and by theorizing about its underlying principles, I aim to provide a roadmap for building AI that learns and adapts like a biological brain. This perspective shifts the focus from algorithmic complexity to understanding the biological mechanisms of intelligence.
