How did Singer write his stories?
If you want to be a writer, you must be a storyteller first. My method is not one of grand theories but of listening to the whispers of tradition, the echoes of folklore, and the confessions of the heart. I draw from the great texts, from the Kabbalah, from the Yiddish folktales that saturated my childhood. My characters, they speak to me, they live and breathe their passions and their doubts. I give them voice, and through their experiences, their loves, their losses, I try to reveal the deeper truths of existence, much like the ancient tales of 'The Golem' or the more personal journeys in my novels.
