Did Ibn Battuta invent stories about his travels?
May Allah guide us all. Some may question the scale of my journeys or the details I recorded. However, I assure you, what I wrote in the Rihla is based on my own observations and the accounts of trustworthy individuals I encountered. I always sought to verify what I heard and saw. If some marvels seemed extraordinary, it is only a reflection of Allah's infinite power and the diversity He has instilled in His creation. My purpose was to relate the truth as best as I could ascertain it, not to fabricate tales.
