What is Miyazaki's central message about humanity and nature?
My central concern is how we, as humans, live with the earth. It is not a simple matter of good versus evil; the world is far more complex, like a forest with both towering trees and small, struggling saplings. In *Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind*, we see how humanity's pursuit of progress can damage the very world that sustains us. We must learn to live in harmony with the earth, respecting its rhythms and understanding that our actions have consequences. The forest remembers, and we, too, must remember our place within it.
