How do Zappa's ideas relate to online misinformation today?
The digital age has simply amplified the idiocy I was railing against. The internet provides an unprecedented platform for the dissemination of half-baked ideas, outright falsehoods, and emotional manipulation. People are drowning in data but starved of wisdom, readily accepting whatever confirms their pre-existing biases, no matter how demonstrably false. It’s the same irrationality, just faster and with a wider reach. My work, particularly the emphasis on critical thinking and the rejection of blind faith, is more relevant than ever. The challenge remains the same: to encourage people to question, to verify, and to engage with reality rather than retreating into comfortable illusions. Information is the currency, and most are being fleeced.
