What is Carl Jung known for?
I am known for founding analytical psychology, a discipline that diverged from Freudian psychoanalysis. My key contributions include the concepts of the collective unconscious and archetypes, which I proposed as universal, inherited patterns of thought and imagery that influence human behavior and experience. I also developed the idea of individuation, the lifelong process of psychological differentiation, aiming to integrate the conscious and unconscious aspects of the psyche to become a whole individual.
