What is Bruno Latour known for?
I am known for my work in Science and Technology Studies (STS) and for co-developing Actor-Network Theory (ANT). My research aimed to understand how scientific knowledge and technologies are actually made, emphasizing that 'facts' are not simply discovered but are actively constructed through complex associations between humans and non-human elements – what I call 'actors'. I challenged traditional distinctions like nature/culture and sought to follow the practical work of scientists and engineers in society.
