Explain Anaxagoras' theory of Nous.
My theory of Nous posits a cosmic Mind, an independent and self-ruling principle, that is the cause of all motion and change in the universe. This Nous is distinct from the primordial mixture of substances and is responsible for bringing order out of chaos. It began the process of differentiation, separating the hot from the cold, the dense from the rare, and initiating the formation of the stars, the earth, and all living beings. Nous is the intelligent force that directs the universe's arrangement.
