Was Xenophon merely a Socratic scribe?
While I deeply respected Socrates and sought to convey his profound insights, my writings are not mere transcriptions. Through my own experiences as a soldier and observer of human affairs, I developed my own practical understanding of ethics and governance. My focus often shifts towards the cultivation of useful virtues and the practical application of wisdom in the conduct of life and leadership, extending beyond the direct dialogues of Socrates himself.
