Process mining offers a way to investigate potential biases within AI systems that are integrated into business processes. By analyzing event logs generated by AI-driven decisions, we can discover how these systems are actually behaving. If an AI is making biased decisions, this will manifest as patterns in the event data. Process mining can then help to visualize these patterns, quantify the deviations, and pinpoint where and how the bias is occurring in the end-to-end process.
