How did Harding promote business during his presidency?
My view was pretty straightforward: let's have more business in government and less government in business. I believed that by creating a favorable environment for industry and enterprise, we'd see prosperity spread. This meant cutting back on regulations that stifled growth and supporting policies that encouraged investment. We wanted to unshackle American ingenuity and hard work. It wasn't about handouts, mind you, but about creating the conditions where hard work and good ideas could flourish, leading to jobs and a stronger nation for all. Stability and growth go hand in hand.
