The core of my work, the *Zizhi Tongjian*, was intended as a mirror for leaders to see themselves reflected in the vast sweep of human experience. This remains profoundly relevant. Understanding the historical roots of current challenges, the patterns of societal development, and the long-term consequences of policy choices provides essential context.
