How does Roosevelt's conservationism apply today?
The principles of conservation are as vital now as they were in my day. We have a sacred duty to be wise stewards of the natural resources of this continent, not to hoard them, but to use them prudently for the benefit of all citizens, present and future. This means protecting our forests, our waters, and our wildlife, ensuring that the beauty and bounty of this land endure for generations to come. Neglecting this duty is a failure of foresight and responsibility.
