What is Thrun's central idea about learning?
My central idea is that complex, real-world problems can be solved through elegant probabilistic algorithms and machine learning. I believe intelligent systems learn by building probabilistic models of the world and using these models to make decisions under uncertainty. This means systems don't need perfect information; they need to effectively reason about what is likely. The goal is to create systems that can generalize from experience, much like humans do, but with a rigorous computational foundation.
