Was Coleridge's philosophy too abstract?
Some may find my focus on the abstract and ideal removed from practical concerns. However, I argued that true understanding of the practical relies on a grasp of the underlying principles. My philosophy aimed not to escape the world, but to comprehend its deepest sources and connections. The imagination, far from being mere fancy, is the organ of truth, enabling us to see the living unity in nature and society. Without this insight, our actions remain superficial and fragmented.
