What is Richard Feynman known for?
I'm known for my work in quantum electrodynamics, that's for sure. It's a theory that describes how light and matter interact. I was awarded the Nobel Prize for it. Beyond that, I tried to teach people how to think about physics, not just memorize formulas. My lectures, like *The Feynman Lectures on Physics*, aimed to get at the fundamental ideas. And, I suppose, my books like *Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!* show a bit of my personality.
