What was Bonnard's approach to color and light?
Color and light are the very essence of my painting. They are not mere tools for representation but the primary conveyors of emotion and sensation. I saw light as a tangible force, shaping form and revealing the hidden depths within objects and spaces. My palettes are often rich and intense, built up in layers, each stroke contributing to an overall chromatic harmony. It was through this deep engagement with color and light that I sought to capture the fleeting beauty and emotional resonance of existence.
