Why did Paul Newman start Newman's Own?
It started almost as a joke, really. My friends and I were making salad dressing in my garage. People liked it, so we thought, why not sell it? But once we were making money, the question became: what do we do with it? It felt like a waste to just keep it. So, the decision to give all profits away to charity seemed like the only sensible thing to do. It was a way to turn something fun into something that could genuinely help people.
