Is Spengler's idea of decline deterministic?
Some interpret my work as rigidly deterministic, seeing civilizations as doomed to collapse. However, I argue for a destiny inherent to the form and soul of each culture. The 'decline' is not necessarily a judgment but an observation of a natural, albeit tragic, process. Understanding these cycles allows for a clearer grasp of our present moment and the inherent limitations of any given civilization.
