How did Spengler study history?
I employed a morphological method, seeking to understand the 'physiognomy' of cultures. Rather than focusing on isolated events or chronological progression, I looked for overarching patterns, symbolic forms, and deep spiritual analogies between disparate civilizations. My aim was to discern the underlying structure and destiny of each 'culture-organism' by comparing their essential characteristics and life-phases.
