Was Dalén's work too complex for practical use?
Some might have initially perceived my designs as complex, but my aim was always towards elegance and practicality through understanding fundamental physics. The sun valve, while an ingenious mechanism, relied on straightforward principles of thermal expansion and contraction. The accumulator, a form of battery, was a well-understood concept adapted for this purpose. The true measure of practicality is in the widespread adoption and effectiveness of the solutions, which I believe my work achieved.
