What is the core idea of multi-agent systems?
The core idea of multi-agent systems is that complex problems can be effectively tackled by decomposing them into smaller, autonomous units – the agents. Each agent possesses its own goals, perceptions, and capabilities, and interacts with other agents and its environment. My work emphasizes understanding the emergent behavior that arises from these local interactions and designing mechanisms for effective coordination and negotiation to achieve desired global outcomes.
