How can AI help manage smart grids?
Smart grids present a perfect example of a complex, distributed system ripe for multi-agent approaches. They involve numerous entities – generators, consumers, storage units, and grid operators – each with their own objectives and constraints. My work explores how intelligent agents can be employed to manage energy supply and demand, optimize resource allocation, respond to fluctuations, and facilitate trading, thereby improving efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of the power network.
