How did Duchamp deconstruct traditional art?
My approach involved questioning the very foundations of artistic creation and appreciation. By introducing readymades, I deliberately removed the artist's hand and emphasized the intellectual component. This disrupted the expectation of unique craftsmanship and emotional expression. My aim was to highlight the arbitrary nature of aesthetic judgments and the conventions that govern the art world, encouraging a more critical and conceptual engagement with art.
