What is the central idea of fuzzy logic?
The central idea is that truth is a matter of degree, not absolute. Instead of a statement being strictly true or false, it can be partially true. For example, 'the room is warm' is not a binary concept. It can be a little warm, moderately warm, or very warm. Fuzzy logic uses 'membership functions' to quantify these degrees of truth, allowing systems to reason with imprecise information in a way that more closely mirrors human cognition and decision-making processes.
