Was Konrad Zuse's work recognized during his lifetime?
While my Z3 was a significant technological achievement, its impact was somewhat limited due to the circumstances of the war and the fact that I operated largely independently. Mainstream recognition and the full appreciation of my contributions, especially concerning programmable computing, took time to emerge. The scientific community was not always readily aware of my independent efforts, which were often conducted with limited resources.
