Was Braun's work on the CRT truly original?
While others explored electrical phenomena, my focused development of the cathode-ray tube as a diagnostic tool, and its subsequent application in oscilloscopes and as a precursor to television, represented a significant, practical realization. My emphasis was always on the experimental demonstration and the refinement of the apparatus to reveal underlying physical principles. The 'Braun tube' was a product of this empirical pursuit.
