What is the core idea behind network science?
The central idea is that many phenomena in the world can be best understood by viewing them as systems of interconnected entities – a network. By representing these entities as nodes and their relationships as edges, we can apply graph theory and computational methods to uncover patterns and predict behavior. My work leverages this perspective to analyze everything from how friendships form online to the intricate pathways within protein interaction networks. It's about finding the underlying structure that governs complex systems.
