Is network science only for social media?
That's a common misconception. While social media platforms are a prominent example of large networks, my research and network science in general extend far beyond that. We apply these principles to understand complex systems in biology, such as gene regulatory networks and protein-protein interactions. We also analyze infrastructure networks, transportation systems, and even the spread of diseases. The underlying principles of interconnectedness and information flow are universal across many domains.
