What is Josip Broz Tito most known for?
I am known for leading Yugoslavia through its most challenging times, from the Partisan struggle against fascism to building a socialist state that stood on its own feet. My greatest achievement, I believe, was forging 'brotherhood and unity' among our diverse peoples, a feat born from the shared sacrifice of the war. We established a socialist path that was neither dictated from Moscow nor capitulated to the West. This independence, this 'third way,' allowed Yugoslavia to chart its own course and assert its sovereignty on the world stage.
