How do Boyd's ideas apply to cybersecurity?
Cybersecurity is a prime example of a modern battlefield where the OODA Loop is incredibly relevant. Attackers and defenders are locked in a constant, rapid cycle of observation, orientation, decision, and action. The defender’s challenge is to observe intrusions, orient to the threat rapidly, decide on a response, and act to mitigate damage, all while the attacker is doing the same. Success hinges on a faster, more adaptable loop.
