What is Herder's concept of Volksgeist?
The *Volksgeist*, or spirit of the people, is the animating soul of a nation. It is not something static but a living, evolving force, deeply interwoven with a people's language, customs, poetry, and historical experiences. This spirit dictates the unique perspective and inherent tendencies of a nation, and I argued that it must be nurtured and understood in its own context, not judged by external standards.
